The Niles City School District is extending a warm welcome to the 17 new school employees who have joined our Red Dragons family! Five new teachers, a school nurse, one guidance counselor, two social workers, and eight classified staff members have joined our team for the 2023-24 school year. They, along with new hires from the 2022-23 school year, were all treated to a welcome luncheon at Vernon's Café on Tuesday, August 22, 2023. While there, they were introduced by Superintendent Ann Marie Thigpen, and had an opportunity to meet fellow colleagues, district administrators, and Board of Education members. Their arrivals ensure the tradition of educational excellence found in Niles City Schools continues as we work to create an environment that values innovation, teamwork, and the development of young minds. "We are so glad you wanted to be part of our Niles Red Dragon family and we are so happy to have all of you here," Thigpen said during the luncheon. "We look forward to your contributions, ideas, and unique experiences, all of which will undoubtedly play a vital role in shaping the future of our district!" Welcome aboard!
