NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS 

 

The Board of Education of the Niles City School District is accepting proposals from firms for its Niles Stadium New Field Turf Project. Interested firms may request an RFP from Sean Miller, Treasurer at [email protected]. Proposals will be accepted until 2:00 p.m. local time, November 6, 2026.  Proposers must provide documentation of an existing procurement awarded to the proposer through a program authorized under Ohio Revised Code Section 9.48.

NO WEAPONS

Pursuant to the Ohio Revised Code 2923.1212, no person shall knowingly possess, have under the person's control, convey, or attempt to convey a deadly weapon or dangerous ordnance onto the Niles City School District premises.  A license does not authorize the licensee to carry a weapon onto the Niles City School District Premises.  Violators will be prosecuted.

NO SMOKING

The Niles City School District is a NO SMOKING facility.  To report violations call 866-559-OHIO (6446) in accordance with Chapter 3794 of the Ohio Revised Code.

PUBLIC COMMENTS

The Niles City School District encourages the communities comments on educational issues and recognizes the importance of allowing members of the public to express themselves on school matters of community interest.  However, the district will not accept any anonymous letters.  All letters must be signed in order to be recognized by the school district.

PBIS and LIMITED USE OF RESTRAINT AND SECLUSION

The Board of Education is committed to implementation of Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) framework on a District-wide basis and the establishment of a school environment focused on the care, safety, and welfare of all students and staff members. Staff are directed to work to prevent the use of physical restraint and/or seclusion. The PBIS framework shall serve as the foundation for the creation of a learning environment that promotes the use of evidence-based academic and behavioral practices aimed at enhancing academic, social and behavioral outcomes for all students.

Notice is hereby given that the Niles City School District's GAAP Financial Report for the preceding Fiscal Year is available for review after November 30th at the Niles City School Board Office, 309 N. Rhodes Avenue, Niles, Ohio.
