7th & 8th grade students may pick up their schedules for the 2024-25 school year August 14th from 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. or August 15 from 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. in the main office. 6th graders and new students will receive their schedules at orientation. Any 6th grader or new student unable to attend their scheduled orientation can pick up their schedule during these times.

Orientation for all incoming 6th graders will be held on Tuesday, August 13, from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Students should be dropped off at the gymnasium. Dress comfortably, as students will participate in a variety of activities with the NMS WEB Team, receive their schedules, and tour the building. Please do not bring school supplies or cell phones. 

A parent/guardian meeting will follow orientation. This will begin at 11:30 a.m. - entrance to the building will not be permitted prior to this time. If you are unable to attend orientation, please contact the office for assistance beginning August 5, 2024.

Orientation for new students entering 7th and 8th grades will be held Friday, August 16 at 9:00 a.m. Parents/guardians are encouraged to attend. If you are unable to attend, please contact the office for assistance beginning August 5, 2024.

Any student currently in grade 6, 7, or 8 and enrolled in Niles City Schools is eligible to receive a FREE OHSAA physical for the 2024-25 school year. This event will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Niles McKinley High School. Physical forms are available at the school. Spring testing dates are as follows. Students should make every effort to be in school on these days.

Apr. 9 & 10: Grade 6 - ELA

Apr. 11 & 12: Grade 7 - ELA

Apr. 15 & 16:  Grade 8 - ELA

Apr. 23 & 24: Grade 8 - Science

Apr. 25 & 26: Grade 6 - Math

Apr. 30 & May 1: Grade 7 - Math

May 2 & 3: Grade 8 - Math / Algebra

The 8th Grade Valentine's Dance will be held Friday, February 9 at NMS from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Pre-sale tickets are $4.00 and will be available for purchase during 8th grade lunch January 29-February 9. Tickets purchased at the door the night of the dance are $5.00.
