Winter Spirit Week!

Students and staff are invited to participate in our Winter Spirit Week December 16-19! Theme Days are listed below. Participation is completely voluntary. School dress code rules apply. Have fun!

  • Monday, December 16: Wear anything red
  • Tuesday, December 17: 80's Day (does not have to be Christmas attire)
  • Wednesday, December 18: Wear anything green
  • Thursday, December 19: Dress like Santa or the Grinch!

Winter Concerts

We welcome families to our 3rd grade Winter Concerts! Below, please note the date your child's class will perform. Concerts begin at 9:30 a.m. in the NIS cafeteria. We look forward to celebrating the season with you!

Halloween Parade & Party Information

NIS will celebrate Halloween with our annual costume parade and classroom parties!

Costumes:
Students can wear their costumes to school on Thursday, October 31, or bring them to school. Costumes that require little assistance and can slip on over clothes work best. Costumes that include weapons are NOT permitted.

Parade:
Our costume parade will start at 2:00 p.m., weather permitting. If it is raining we will not have our parade. Parents may line the sidewalk along John St. to see students as they walk.

Party:
Classroom parties will begin at 2:20 p.m. and conclude at 2:45 p.m. to prepare for dismissal. Parties will include a game, snacks, and refreshments provided by the Niles Intermediate Home & School Association.
