McKinley High Senior Natalia Tate - has been recognized as this year's district honoree for the YWCA's Young Women with Bright Futures honor! Every year the YWCA recognizes female students across Trumbull and Mahoning Counties for their leadership skills, academic achievement, creativity, and volunteerism. As the district honoree, Natalia received a $500 scholarship from the YWCA of the Mahoning Valley during their awards ceremony on Saturday, March 29, 2025.
At McKinley High Natalia is actively involved in multiple academic and athletic activities including the Speech and Debate team, student council (Spirit Leader), varsity soccer (Captain), track (Captain), and marching band (Secretary at Arms). She has held leadership positions with each group.
Natalia gives back to the community by volunteering with the Niles Rotary, the library, Students for the Environment, and Big Brothers Big Sisters. She is a Governor's Merit Scholarship recipient and will be graduating Summa Cum Laude this May.
