The Niles City School District is pleased to welcome Christopher Parise as the newest member of the Board of Education. Mr. Parise was appointed following interviews conducted during a special session on Tuesday, March 11, 2025.
A lifelong City of Niles resident, Parise graduated from Niles McKinley High School in 2003. He went on to earn a degree in Business Administration with a focus on finance from the University of Akron in 2007. Since 2011, he has worked as a Supply Chain Manager at Howmet Aerospace (formerly RMI Titanium). Parise and his wife, Jamie, have two daughters, with their oldest set to begin her educational journey at Niles Primary School in the fall of 2025.
In his spare time, Parise enjoys outdoor activities, particularly golf and landscaping. His strong family ties to the education community inspired him to apply for the Board of Education opening, and he hopes to use his professional expertise to serve as an advocate for the district through a hands-on approach.
“My goal as a BOE member is to prioritize the needs of the students and provide a path to success in every decision I make,” says Parise. “To achieve this, I look forward to actively engaging with the school system to better understand the needs of both students and staff. I want to leverage my learnings to make deeply informed decisions that allow students and educators to thrive in a safe and educational environment.”
Parise fills the position vacated by former member Christopher Chieffo. His appointment runs through the end of the year, with the option to run in the November 2025 election to complete the remainder of the term, which expires December 31, 2027.
