The Niles City School District is proud to announce that Niles Intermediate School has once again earned a spot in the U.S. News & World Report’s Best Elementary School Rankings, placing among the top 40% (#517 or 1577) of public elementary schools in Ohio.
This recognition, awarded by a trusted source in educational assessments, highlights Niles Intermediate School's commitment to providing a high-quality learning environment. Rankings are based on publicly available data from the U.S. Department of Education, considering factors such as academic performance, test scores, faculty qualifications, and student-to-teacher ratios. Principal Chris Staph expressed his gratitude, stating, “We are honored to be recognized by U.S. News & World Report for the third year time. This achievement reflects the dedication of our students, faculty, and staff. To also earn a 4.5-star ranking on the Ohio Department of Education state report card makes this recognition especially rewarding.”
The honor reinforces Niles Intermediate’s commitment to nurturing responsible learners, critical thinkers, and problem solvers. Our students, staff, parents and the Niles community can take pride in the school’s standing among Ohio’s best.
Superintendent Ann Marie Thigpen added, “The efforts of Mr. Staph, along with the students and staff of Niles Intermediate School, continue to earn well-deserved recognition. Congratulations on once again being named a U.S. News & World Report Top Elementary School!”
This is the third time Niles Intermediate School has been acknowledged by U.S. News & World Report as a top-performing school, having also been recognized in 2024 and 2022.
