Principal's Message

Welcome to the Jackson Elementary website. Jackson School has a unique population of five to six year old Kindergarten students. For many, this is their first educationally sound experience; one which will prove to be memorable!

Our Building Leadership Team (BLT) and Teacher Based Teams, (TBT’s) work in collaboration with one another through the implementation of data-driven decision making to ensure our students’ needs are met; in an environment that is conducive to learning. These teams concentrate on effective means of teaching and learning; always striving to improve.  

Our staff is committed to helping each student achieve their academic potential through becoming extremely knowledgeable with the new Common Core Standards. Teachers have been working diligently developing monthly curricular alignment along with assessments. These assessments allow teachers to learn the value and impact of what they do in their classrooms.

This is an extremely exciting time for Niles City School District and we are eagerly anticipating the new 2012-2013 School Year. This is our final year in our existing buildings and with construction of new schools in progress, the possibilities are endless.  I encourage families to visit the website to be aware of upcoming events scheduled at Jackson.
